Workshop & Performance by Jazz Festival Headliners

Featuring Amazing guitar player from 4-6pm, then Jessie Laine Powell from 6-8, Jam till 9pm
It is looking like the month of October could be a very exciting one for “gospel jazz” in our little town of Hilo! Jessie Laine Powell is scheduled to perform at the East Hawaii jazz fest on Oct 25 @ Nani Mau Gardens, and we're putting together a “gospel jazz workshop” featuring Jessie at Kukuau Studio.
Jessie is a fantastic jazz/soul/gospel vocalist from Kentucky, and put out a great gospel jazz ep entitled “On The Edge”, which got heavy airplay on local Hilo radio station KIHL, on their “Heavenly Jazz” program.
She has a fantastic new ep coming out soon called “Fill The Void”, which should be available by the time she comes to Hilo.
