In celebration of National Poetry Month, award-winning poet and author Eric Paul Shaffer will read a selection of poems that address the natural world–animal, vegetable, and mineral–particularly seeking the places that humans overlook when we celebrate the best of the planet. Mr. Shaffer is author of five books of poetry and teaches composition, literature, and creative writing at Honolulu Community College. This one-hour program will be held in the First Floor Reading Room and is recommended for ages 12 and older.
