Recycle Hawaii will have a concurrent collection event for reuseable or “still good” latex paint during the County’s Household Hazardous Waste Collection at the Waimea Transfer Station.
Note: The County will accept the oil based paints at their Household Hazardous Waste Collections. Visit their website for information on the upcoming Waimea and Pahoa HHW collections. http://www.hawaiizerowaste.org
The donated “still good” latex paint will then be made available for purchase at our Waimea Recycling and Reuse Center.

Tips: Kea’au Recycling and Reuse Center has ongoing collection of reusable or “still good” latex paint. Latex paint is not hazardous, if it is not usable please allow it to fully harden by air drying. Once dry, it can be disposed of in the county rubbish chutes.
Proceeds from the donated “still good” latex paint assists Recycle Hawaii in continuing to offer free recycling education and outreach to all Hawaii Island communities and are much appreciated.
