MicroOrganism & Lactobacillus Class w/ Drake (Eric Weinert)

Come and learn Natural Farming at our Hawaiian Sanctuary Educational Facility in Puna, Hawaii. Natural Farming incorporates the Lowest Cost Farming Method so that all supplies are sourced and/or grown here on the island. This complete system of farming saves so much money from buying implements that you can pay yourself more to farm. Natural Farming is about harnessing the power of beneficial microorganisms to provide all the nutrients for a healthy thriving plant or garden.

THIS CLASS is on Lactobacillus!!

What to expect: Each class is built upon the next class and are somewhat spontaneous due to the nature of the unpredictable nature of breeding microorganisms. Drake takes you on a journey of the the lifecycle of fungus, bacteria, protozoa, nematodes and more and how they thrive. See below class for example of what to expect. Many subjects are reintroduced at each class so a student will be just as interested if they missed any previous classes.

Previous classes covered: Primer on Fermented Plant Juice, Seawater, Worm Juice = wood juice, Use of Lactic Acid Bacteria, brewing fungal dominant compost teas, short intro. to tree planting the Master Cho way. Class made IMO 3 using hands. Dana Keawe taught fermented plant juice with hands on banana flower fermentation.

Teacher Bio: Drake is an indigenous macrobe born in Puna, and has been studying Korean natural farming since 2007 with Master Cho. He has further refined his knowledge of this rejuvenating microscopic science under soil food web expert Elaine Ingham and how to make the solutions affordable and straightforward with Gil Carandang of the Philippines. he is presently the agricultural instructor at Kalaniana'ole middle school in Papaikou and resides on his family farm in Onomea. He is often found beautifying the streets of Hilo and spraying the roadsides with beneficial microbes, and on youtube and http://www.naturalfarminghawaii.net.
