Storytelling w/ Bobby Norfolk

February 11, 2018 @ 10:30 am - 11:15 pm

Emmy Award winning storyteller Bobby Norfolk returns to Hawaii to share “Anansi the Spider” and other African American folktales, legends and true stories. Bobby’s innate ability to read and connect with audiences makes him one of America’s premier storytellers. Using dynamic movement and vocal effects, Bobby creates vibrant characters who come to life through imaginative, creative story. This 45-minute performance is recommended for ages 5 and older. Young children must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver.

Program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i. This is a production of the University of Hawaii at Mānoa Outreach College’s Statewide Cultural Extension Program with additional funding and support provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, Hawai’i State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, and the University of Hawai’i.

Program schedule is subject to change. Contact the library 10 days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if special accommodations are needed.
