We are so excited to have DJ Sky Makai return to the Honokaa People's Theatre after many years hiatus. His blending mastery formed the basis of the original People's Theatre Ecstatic in the early 2000's, as well as Ecstatic Dance at Kalanihonua since it began in the 90's. Sky is a gifted facilitator with the sacred rhythms of dance, and has been a Big Island favorite of ours for many years.
Known for perfectly seamless transitions with an impeccable choice of songs for invoking movement, emotional, mental, and physical, he ignores the boundaries of genres and blends music across a wide spectrum. Live and impromptu, never the same, his sets are always tailored for the moment and the people in it.
Devoted and committed to personal growth, community, dance and movement, his strong sense intention and care shines through every event he facilitates.

Ecstatic Dance Honokaa is a space safe to come and literally lose yourself to dance, free form movement with NO judgement. Hear the music, kick off your shoes, get on the floor, feel the vibes rushing through your body and let go – move however your feel compelled and without the worry that anyone is judging you. Denying your deserving BEing of the pleasure of dancing ecstatically is a real shame. It is my medicine, I need to move my body to music in order to feel in optimum health and since we are all vibrational BEings, even if you don't know it, dancing will likely have the same positive effect on you.
This month we'll be receiving musical medicine from DJ Sky Makai. 13yrs + $7 suggested minimum donation. Proceeds will be donated to Hui Pono Holoholona. An all volunteer non profit organization dedicated to reducing animal overpopulation humanely by spay/neutering of cats and dogs on the East side of the Big Island of Hawai'i: https://www.hphhawaii.org/

Take a 2 min stroll over to SeaD and finish off your night with the soothing melodies of my beautiful little sister Hannah who will be sharing both covers and her own original music with us as we serve our full menu. Enjoy a post-dance chill sesh with some nourishing vibes for your body, mind and spirit xxx (Non e-dancers are of course welcome to stop by SeaD for Hannah's set too. We'll be open around 6:50pm)
