Kailua-Kona Public Library will be hosting a Community Seed Library program sponsored by the Friends of the Libraries, Kona.
Jill Wagner will present “Saving Seeds for the Future”, which will include information about the saving, storage, and banking of seeds.
Jill is an ethnobotanist who earned her BA degree from the University of Hawai'i at Hilo. She has taught Hawaiian horticulture, restoration, and taxonomy for many years. She grows Native Hawaiian species for restoration and has a deep commitment to supporting the good health of Hawaiian ecosystems.
The program will be hosted on the library's lānai, and the program is intended for people ages 12 and older. Program schedule is subject to change.
