Saturday Storytime with local author Amira Shea. The Adventures of Amarys & Indigo adds another voice to Hawaii’s multicultural chorus. This new series of early readers features 4 year old fraternal twins Amarys & Indigo, kama’aina kids of mixed African-American ancestry.
Amira lives with her husband and six children in a multicultural blended family on Oahu’s Leeward side. She writes stories based on her children's adventures – big and small – in and around their island home. She attended school as a child in Hawaii and moved back as an adult in 2000.
