Decidedly, unsacharine, irreverent fun!
The Plot: A princess, who is prepared to be wed, is sent away to New York by an evil queen. As the cruelty of the big city soon begins to wear down the fairy-tale exterior of the once-carefree princess, the frightened Giselle soon finds herself falling for a friendly but flawed divorce lawyer, whose kind compassion helps her to survive in this strange and dangerous new world.
The Stars: Amy Adams, Susan Sarandon, James Marsden, Patrick Dempsey, Timothy Spall, and Idina Menzel.
This quirky musical comedy romance has an upbeat score (composer Alan Menken and lyricist Stephen Schwartz), talking rodents, a fearsome dragon, and roaches that clean the bathrooms.
