Sarah Cahill is an acclaimed pianist and the world's most “intrepid illuminator” of new music, says the New York Times. She has dedicated herself to performing and commissioning works by under-appreciated composers – living, recently departed, women and Bay Area-based – who push the boundaries of aesthetics and sound.
Cahill began studying piano at age 7 after her art historian father moved the family to Berkeley to teach. More than 40 composers have dedicated works to her, including John Adams, Yoko Ono, Terry Riley and Pauline Oliveros.
Ebb & Flow Arts is a proud co-presenter of ‘Sunday Afternoon with Sarah Cahill' with Kahilu Theatre Foundation … “bringing Music & Art together for Hawaii.”
