Money Smart Week @ Your Library Panel discussion of original business, growth and future plans, advice for aspiring entrepreneurs
An entrepreneur is someone who has a business, and takes on financial risk. The young men appearing in this program first spoke at a program at Hawaii State Library two years ago, in April of 2013. They were freshman at University of Hawaii Manoa, and they had started turning out educational robotics kits for sale as soon as they graduated from high school, and formed their own company. Today, they are college juniors all majoring in engineering, and we wanted to find out if their entrepreneurial spirit has changed or evolved.
At that time, besides the basics of entrepreneurship, they discussed whether doing well in school helps their business, who their role models are, and how they give back to the community.
In this new session, we’ll find out whether they still have the same passion for business, what they’ve learned in the past two years, and the new directions they are moving toward.
