I would like to invite you to join us for a presentation by Ashley Lukens, the Program Director for the Hawaii Center for Food Safety on their recent report- Pesticides in Paradise: Hawaii’s Health and Environment At Risk
The Pesticide Report covers extensive ground on the pesticide and genetic engineering (GE) issues present in Hawaii. The report intends to resolve any confusion as to why so many people in the state are demanding greater regulation of the GE seed corn industry.
Our hope is to build support for measures to protect Hawai‘i’s citizens, particularly children, from harmful pesticide exposure and for measures to increase Hawai‘i’s local food production and food security. To give you a general idea of what is covered in the report and what will be discussed at the presentation of the report; I have attached their key findings sheet for your review.
