Soil Building and Care: Using Production Permaculture strategies in the home garden and orchard, with Evan Ryan

Discover the ways indigenous agroforestry principles can combine with modern organic agricultural practices to optimize the health and vitality of your home garden or orchard.

Evan Ryan is an agricultural landscape consultant, designer, farmer, project manager, author and educator. He is the author of Hawai‘i Home Gardens: Growing Vegetables in the Subtropics Using Holistic Methods, a permaculture based guide to vegetable growing. His focus is applying permaculture systems to production agriculture, utilizing holistic land care practices to nurture resilient environments rich in clean air, fresh water, nourishing food and community. Evan has been farming on Maui since 2000 and is the founder of Pono Grown Farm Center. https://hawaiihomegardens.com
