Pacific Music Experiment (PME)

The 3rd Friday of January 2018 marks the start of what will be an ongoing, monthly, musical and visual experience at Kukuau Studio called the Pacific Music Experiment (PME). PME has been created by Matt Spencer, Sarah Bethany and Michael Surprenant. Together, they will be creating a unique theme for each month's event and arranging music, musicians and visual art specific to that theme.
January's theme is the impact of improvisation on the folk music of different ethnicities. Stylistically, the Pacific Music Experiment will be focusing on Brazilian, Armenian, African, Cuban, Estonian jazz and more.
