Coming to the Big Island, Hawai'i Occupy the Farm Film will screen at Hilo's Palace Theater starting Friday night June 12 through Tuesday June 16 – every night except Saturday June 13 – but with a matinee on Sunday June 14.
“Occupy The Farm” tells the inspiring story of 200 urban farmers who walk onto a publicly-owned research farm, and plant two acres of crops in order to save the land from becoming a real-estate development.
Local speakers on Hawaii's food and agriculture will follow the film each screening. The speakers will include:
