During this workshop, professionally trained fiber artist (and TGH founder) Betty Gearen will guide you as you learn how to turn plants from your own garden into handmade pieces of paper. You will learn about plant fibers, grey paper reuse, and the process that transforms common plants into beautiful paper. This process is truly a beautiful art form that can be introduced into your own life as a means to achieve a more sustainable lifestyle.

SERIES DETAILS:
Join The Green House founder and fiber artist Betty Gearen for a three-workshop Alchemy Series. Each month you will dive into the intricacies of transforming plants into paper and beyond. In the first lesson, one will learn about the process of creating beautiful pieces of paper from plants grown in The Green House Garden. Lesson two, will focus on creating reed lanterns using paper you have created, and the final workshop will teach how to leave no waste in the papermaking process by creating paper clay that will be used to create new objects. Adults only please.
