Music from Shakespeare’s Time

April 28, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

In celebration of the public display of the 1623 First Folio of Shakespeare’s plays at Kapiolani Community College from April 25 to May 25, Ian Capps, president of Early Music Hawaii and creator and host of The Early Muse on Hawaii Public Radio, will discuss music from Shakespeare’s time, with recordings.

The music will include songs from the plays and dance music from Shakespeare’s time. Because composers ever since have been inspired by these songs, some more modern arrangements will also be played.

For more information, please contact the Library's Art, Music, and Recreation Section at 586-3520.
