Gill McBarnet, a local author and illustrator of children's books in Hawaii, will conduct a read aloud and coloring program of her book “The Rainbow Mermaids of Hawaii”.
She was born and raised in Zimbabwe and became a school teacher before moving into the world of publishing where she worked in the magazine world.
Gill and her husband reside on Maui and have published her line of children's books since 1983. Her first book, “The Whale Who Wanted to be Small”, and her beloved classic “The Goodnight Gecko”, are among a total of thirteen books she has written, illustrated and published.
This 45-minute program is suitable for ages 2 and older. Young children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
