Join us for another installment of the Kahilu Steinway Series with pianist Mark Valenti.
Mark has a delightful program lined up. It will include Karol Szymanowski Four Mazurkas, op. 50, Ludwig van Beethoven Sonata no.31 in A flat major, op. 110, Claude Debussy Three Etudes, Johannes Brahms Three Pieces, and Sergei Prokofieff Sonata #7 in B flat major, op. 83.
Doors open at 5pm for the performance and there will be snacks and beverages available for sale at the Kahilu Theatre bar.
NOTE: Entry is free for ages 18 and under at the door
The Steinway Series is a season of performances Kahilu Theatre’s Model D Steinway Concert Grand Piano. The piano was acquired thanks to Kahilu supporters’ generous donations to our Steinway Campaign.
A little bit about Mark:
He received his Master of Music from Northwestern University, Bachelor of Music from the Philadelphia Musical Academy, and has studied with such notable teachers as Benjamin Whitten, Zoltan Kocsis, and Mary Sauer. In addition to giving solo recitals in cities throughout the U.S., Mr. Valenti has performed in France, Belgium, Hungary, and Luxembourg as well as for former First Lady Barbara Bush in Washington, D.C.
