The Better Business Bureau Foundation of Hawaiʻi invites you to join us for a free, one hour presentation to learn about: The Top Scams in Hawaiʻi, Tricks that Scammers Use, and How to Protect Yourself.
Learn how not to become a victim of identity theft, which is, according the U.S. Justice Department, a “crime in which someone wrongfully obtains and uses another person’s personal data in some way that involves fraud or deception, typically for economic gain.”
This program is recommended for older adults 50 and older, who are the most vulnerable because they are not as tech savvy as younger generations. They are exploited as result, by online and phone scammers here and abroad. Program will be held in the Library’s First Floor Reading Room.
Program schedule is subject to change. Contact the library 10 days in advance at 586-3481 to request a sign language interpreter or if special accommodations are needed.
