Learn About Tree Grafting

The Community Seed Library at Kailua-Kona Public Library invites you to a free tree grafting program. University of Hawai’i Agent, Ty McDonald, will discuss and demonstrate ways to add cultivars to rootstock by grafting. The technique involves using scion wood of a related but different cultivar to create a new tree using healthy rootstock. Grafting requires knowledge as well as practice.
