La’au Lapa’au

La’au lapa’au is the Hawaiian practice of using plants and herbs to treat ailments. Ku’u Samson will introduce us to this practice and share some of the plants used. Ku’u Samson, born and raised in Waianae began her career at MA’O organic farm and now can be found at Hoa ‘Aina o Makaha. she is a Hawaiian Studies graduate student at UH Manoa.

Program schedule is subject to change. Contact the library 10 days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or is special accommodations are needed.
