Kipahulu ‘Opihi Surveys

As part of Kipahulu Ohana's Malama I Ke Kai program, an ‘opihi “rest area” (voluntary no take zone) has been established for three years along the shoreline adjacent to Haleakala National Park, and several times a year we survey the opihi populations to monitor the results of the rest area.

Meet at Haleakala National Park campground.

Bring lunch, water, tabbies, gloves, hat, sunscreen.
