Kailua Tree Count- Kick off event

June 6, 2016 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

TREE LOVERS NEEDED

The Kaulunani Urban and Community Forestry Program is recruiting community volunteers to help gather data about trees in Kailua Town. Volunteers will learn to identify trees growing in Kailua, work in teams to measure trees, and help raise awareness of the benefit of trees in our communities. Perks include extensive training by professional arborists, a project t-shirt, the opportunity to meet tree-loving neighbors, and the chance to be part of the first community-led census of trees on O‘ahu.

Participants must be able to attend four sessions:

June 6 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. – kick-off meeting at Ho‘omaluhia

June 8, 13 & 15 from 1:00-3:30 p.m. – training sessions

Training will be held in Kailua, details provided upon RSVP

$20 participation donation covers the cost of materials
