Hawaii State Library Presents The Spring Wind Quintet

Hawaii State Library presents The Spring Wind Quintet – the five musicians will perform the following musical pieces: (1.) Adrien Barthe, “Passacaille”; (2.) Hawaiian Mele, Arranged by Martha Schweitzer: “Beautiful Kahana,” “Kamehameha Waltz,” “The Cockeyedd Mayor of Kaunakakai,” and “Liliu E.”; (3.) Gunther Schuller, wind Quintet, Second Movement; (4.) Eric Ewazen, “Bays” for Wind Quintet; and (5.) Jacques Ibert, “Trois Pieces Breves,” First Movement.

This one-hour program is recommended for all ages and will be held in the first floor lobby. Program schedule is subject to change. Please contact the library's Art, Music & Recreation Section at 586-3520 at least 10 days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if special accommodations are needed.
