Hanau ka Ua

Join us for a discussion & autograph session with Collette Leimomi Akana & dughter collaborator Kiele Gonzalez, authors of “Hanau ka Ua – Hawaiian Rain Names.”
“Hanau ka Ua” is the fullest record of Hawaiian rain names & their lore to date, drawing on primary sources from the 19th & 20th centuries.

Collette Leimomi Akana is a kumu hula & a social studies teacher at Kamehameha Schools – Kapalama. Kiele Gonzalez is a Hawaiian language specialist at Kamehameha Publishing.
