The Manoa Public Library’s “Green Saturday” event has become a tradition during Earth Month each year, taking place the Saturday before Earth Day.
The popular Native Plant Giveaway is back, thanks to the Friends of Manoa Library, Greenspace Hawaii, and Hui Ku Maoli Ola. Over 100 native plants will be given away – first come, first serve.
New this year, keiki can learn and have fun with the “Wheel of Misfortune” game and the “Stamp out Invasive Species” craft with Erin Bishop of the Oahu Invasive Species Committee (OISC).
The Friends of Manoa Library are once again donating an Earth Month Lucky Draw prize, so don’t forget to bring a HI-5 can or bottle in exchange for a Lucky Draw ticket.
