Grand Opening: Palila Forest Discovery Trail

July 27, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 1:30 pm

GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION!
Wednesday, July 27, 2016
Join us as we celebrate the opening of Hawai‘i's newest interpretive trail.

Take a journey through Mauna Kea’s high-elevation dry forest. This forest is one of the last large tracts of dry forest left in Hawai‘i. While there are serious threats to this forest, restoration efforts are helping to protect this special home of a critically endangered bird, the palila.
