Get your audio engineer on – Radial Engineering

Peter Janis, president and CEO of Radial Engineering Ltd will be conducting a 2 hour clinic on optimising sound and minimising noise for audio engineers that work in live venues, concert stages and studios. This informative clinic discusses best practices when managing signal levels from piezo transducers, guitar pickups, keyboards, laptops, wireless systems, line level devices and guitar amplifiers. The clinic will also discuss various switching options for microphones, backing tracks and consoles and will discuss Reamping solutions for studio and live performance.

Based in Vancouver, Canada Radial Engineering Ltd was founded in 1992 and today, is the global leader in direct box and interface technology. Radial products are used by Paul McCartney, U2, The Rolling Stones and just about every major artist that is active today. The company also comprises of several other brands including Tonebone guitar pedals, Primacoustic acoustic panels, Reamp, Jensen audio transformers, Hafler amplifiers and Dynaco tube amps.

Peter Janis began in this industry in 1976 as musician and audio sales associate at a retail shop and in the coming years got heavily focussed in commercial installations for live venues and clubs. In 1981, Peter studied electricity at the Norther Alberta Institute of Technology and 1982, he was hired as product manager for Fender in Canada – a position he held for 10 years. As the Canadian arm, he got involved with product development and marketing with a number of companies including Akai, Audix, and Hafler. He founded Radial in 1992 and today, the company comprises of about 90 employees with sales around the globe.
