GenHOT presents The Three Decembers Opening Night Party at Bethel Union for Young Professionals (45 and under)!
The GenHOT Advisory Board, a collective of young professionals passionate about the Arts scene in Honolulu, are inviting their peers to join HOT for the Opening Night of Jake Heggie's modern opera, Three Decembers.
Start the evening at one of Honolulu's coolest new restaurants, Bethel Union, indulging in drinks and pupus while networking with other young professionals who share a love for Art.
Then move across the street to the historic Hawaii Theatre for the Opening Night performance of Three Decembers, starring America's leading Mezzo-Sopranpo, Frederica von Stade.
Having premiered in 2008, this 90 minute, modern opera has quickly become a popular feature in the opera repertoire due to Jake Heggie's beautiful music and the relevance of the challenges the players face.
One of the most recognizable and beloved performers in classical music, Frederica von Stade has appeared in opera, concert, and recital performances around the world. Highly recognized for her work, she has received six Grammy nominations and was awarded France’s highest honor in the arts when she was appointed as an officer of L’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
