We will have enough projects to keep 20-30 adults busy. A big crew can get a lot accomplished for end of the year and set the garden on a solid footing for next year. And it’s a great way for parents to get acquainted with the garden program and have a hand in making it better for their children.
I would like to ask both the school and PTA to commit volunteers for the workday. Grow Some Good will provide snacks, water, gloves and all tools and materials.
We will take a break during the day for a “learning”session about rat lungworm disease, how to protect yourself, and how it's being address for the school garden program. Volunteers will also learn about composting while building the new compost system and can take a look at our very successful vermicomposting worm towers.
