Family Health Talk: Electronic Smoking Devices

November 3, 2016 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Electronic Smoking Devices (Vape Pens or Mods, E-Cigarettes, E –hookah) are battery-operated devices that contain harmful ingredients, such as nicotine, artificial food flavoring and formaldehyde, which are inhaled as an aerosol by the user.

Our lungs are made to inhale air. We need our lungs to live. Vaping could be worse than smoking, especially for youth. Join us for a presentation by West Hawai'i Tobacco-Free Coalition Coordinator Tami MacAller, MPH, MCHES to learn more about how these devices can affect your family's health.

Children must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver. Program schedule is subject to change. Contact the library 15 days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if special accommodations are needed.
