Fado Performance with Ramana Vieira

Called a “rising star in World Music” by the San Francisco Examiner, Ramana Vieira has solidified her place as an artist who understands the tradition of fado and yet continues to creatively construct a path into the future by combining new musical textures and compositions. “Cabo Verde,” the opening track of Vieira’s her new album, Fado da Vida, was nominated as Best World Music Song at the 2015 International Portuguese Music Awards.
