Aloha from Waipā!
We are excited to announce “Eat the Invasives”, the first of a dinner series at Laukupu, our new Community Kitchen & Hale Imu.
Guest chef Michael Madigan of KitchenCru & Bowery Bagels in Portland, OR, has created a 6-course menu including wine pairings. Featured ingredients include Lilikoi, Java Plum, Tilapia and Venison along with other invasive plants and wildlife. Learn why and when these species were introduced to Hawaii and how they affect today's ecosystem.
This event is a fundraiser to support the work of The Waipa Foundation — a living learning center focused on caring for our natural resources, practicing Hawaiian culture & values, and inspiring healthy keiki & community.
Cost is $125 per person. Seating is limited.
