Draw a Better World

Join University of Hawaii Maui College art professor Mike Takemoto for an art program to kick off the 2017 Summer Reading Program at Kahului Public Library!
Children, families, and adults are welcome to attend one of three 50-minute sessions during which participants will create a piece of artwork exploring what the theme of this year’s Summer Reading Program–“Build a Better World”–means to them. Each individual or family’s artwork will become part of a large collaborative art project that will be displayed in the library throughout the Summer Reading Program.
Please call Kahului Library for more information and to sign up for a session; each session is limited to 20 participants.
Session 1: 12:00-12:50
Session 2: 1:00-1:50
Session 3: 2:00-2:50

Children must be accompanied by an adult. Program schedule is subject to change. Contact the library 15 days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if special accommodations are needed.
