The Leeward Haleakala Watershed Restoration Partnership is a coalition of 11 private and public landowners and supporting agengies. The goal is to restore koa forests on Haleakala from Makawao through ‘Ulupalakua to Kaupo between 3,500 and 6,500 feet elevation.
During this free presentation project coordinator Andrea Buckman will explain how and why they are working to protect the precious native forest of Maui.
Attendees will be given a keiki native Hawaiian plant to take home, while supplies last.
