Celtic Harp and Story

April 4, 2015 @ 12:30 pm

Patrick Ball returns to Hawaii with his latest combination of Celtic stories and sounds from his Maplewood harp. Patrick is considered one of the premier Celtic harp players and storytellers in the world. The crystalline, bell-like resonance of the legendary harp is guaranteed to take the listener into the deepest realms of the imagination. Patrick tours extensively throughout the United States and Canada, entertaining audiences of all ages. He has recorded nine instrumental and three spoken word albums which have sold well over one-half million copies and earned national awards in both the music and spoken word categories. This 45-minute program is suitable for ages 5 and older. Young children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i, Atherton Family Foundation, Hawaii State Federal Credit Union, HEI Charitable Foundation, Meadow Gold Dairies, HMS Host, Hansen Distribution Group, DFS Hawaii, Roberts Hawaii, Toshiba Business Solutions, and Aloha United Way. This is a production of the University of Hawaii at Manoa Outreach College’s Statewide Cultural Extension Program with additional funding provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, and the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
