Kirk Thompson, of the Hawaii National Music Foundation of the Pacific, will offer a free mini-course for individuals who are interested in becoming a recording artist. Mr. Thompson will discuss the following music topics: composing, songwriting, arranging, registering copyright, recording session preparation and live performance, recording engineering, distribution and contracts, royalties and residuals, and expense breakdown. This one-hour program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i and will be conducted in the First Floor Lobby. Suitable for ages 12 and older.
