BAMP Project presents Aer performing live in Honolulu at The Republik Saturday, March 21st, 2015. Tickets on sale NOW at the locations listed below. This is an all ages event.
David von Mering and Carter Schultz met in high school in their hometown of Wayland, MA. After the duo’s first band broke up they struck out on their own to creat Fresh Aer Movement, more commonly known as Aer. The two have created their own brand of music that finds its roots in reggae, acoustic pop and indie rock, with smooth guitar riffs and a strong rap component. After releasing their mixtape “Water On The Moon” and “The Reach” in late-2010 and mid-2011 respectively, the guys proceeded to release their first iTunes EP “What You Need” in October of 2011. “What You Need” would go on to reach the #1 spot on iTunes hip-hop charts, launching Aer onto an East Coast tour alongside Ballyhoo! as well as their first heading tour of the Midwest.
The two dropped out of school in the summer of 2011 to work on their first full-length album “The Bright Side” which was released in 2012 and quickly rose to #1 on the iTunes Album Charts and earned a spot in Billboards Hot 100. It was followed by “The Bright Side Tour” which spanned over 48 cities across North American. To date, the band has shared the stage with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Slightly Stoopid, Action Bronson, Iggy Azalea, ASAP Rocky, Hoodie Allen, and more.
This past year the duo released their self-titled second album on January 21, 2014. The album reached number 5 on iTunes Top Albums chart and charted at #26 on the Billboard Chart.
