Join us in the First Floor Reading Room as award-winning local writer Stephanie Han reads selections from her new book Swimming in Hong Kong, a collection of short stories portraying the cross-cultural experiences of Asian Americans in China, Korea, and the United States.
Stephanie Han has won awards from the Nimrod International Literary Journal and the Santa Fe Writer’s Project. Swimming in Hong Kong was a finalist for the Associated Writers and Writing Programs Grace Paley Award for Short Fiction as well as the Spokane Prize. Han is City University of Hong Kong’s first English literature PhD and currently lives in Honolulu, home of her family since 1904.
