ART LUNCH: Margo Ray – The Art of Collecting

Art Lunch is a free lunchtime lecture series held the last Tuesday of each month. Bring your own lunch (or pick up something at the Artizen cafe) and feed your creativity! March 29 speaker is artist Margo Ray, who will speak about collecting, archiving and manipulating images, with the aim of subsequently incorporating them into new and unique art works. As a contemporary artist whose practice includes collage, printmaking, animation, and installation, Margo creates surreal compositions using the allegory of landscape. In the Multipurpose Room, first floor of the No. 1 Capitol District Building (corner of Richards and Hotel St.). Parking across the street in the Ali'i Place building (entrance at 1099 Alakea St., cash only), metered parking at ‘Iolani Palace, or metered street parking. Several TheBus routes stop directly in front of or very close to the building.
