In 2012, Island music in Hawaii was on a decline. Hawaii’s Finest Clothing took on the responsibility of contributing their best efforts to revive Island music here in Hawaii. In late 2012, they launched the Revive the Live Campaign to bring Island music back to the forefront of Hawaii Entertainment.RTL
In September 2014, they organized the Revive the Live Music Festival and brought local music back to Hawaii’s most iconic stage—The Waikiki Shell, with over 4,000 people in attendance. They followed the inaugural festival with the 2nd Annual Revive the Live Music Festival with a sold out crowd of over 8,000 people. This year, Hawaii’s Finest is expanding their annual Music festival to three nights, adding a second night of Island music and a third night featuring Traditional Hawaiian and Contemporary music.
RTLMF’s focus is to celebrate and perpetuate live Island and Hawaiian music in Hawaii. The three-night festival will feature 20 of the most talented Island Reggae and Hawaiian artists from the state. Friday and Saturday night (September 23 & 24) will focus on Island Reggae artists. Reuniting for the first time in years to perform at the Waikiki Shell for this event only will be some of Hawaii’s top artists including: Ho’onu’a, Three Plus, Opihi Pickers, Norm, Koa’uka, Pati, Nuff Sedd and Dani Girl. The festival will also feature the legendary Fiji, Kapena, Mana’o Company, Ekolu and Maoli.
On Sunday night (September 25), the festival will feature the top Hawaiian and Contemporary artists from Hawaii. These artists include Robert Cazimero, Makaha Sons, Amy Hanaialii, Weldon Kekauoha, Na Leo Pilimehana and Blayne Asing. This all-star lineup will be accompanied by the top Hula Halau from around the state.
Hawaii’s Finest Clothing takes pride in offering the very best to the people of Hawaii. Quality, affordability and supporting local music and businesses have always been a top priority. This festival proves just that by featuring 20 of Hawaii’s Top Artists in Hawaii’s Most Iconic Venue with 3-day festival passes for only $40. In addition to the very affordable festival passes, Hawaii’s Finest will be hosting complementary events leading up to and during the festival weekend for music lovers to enjoy.
Hawaii’s Finest will be donating a portion of proceeds to the Revive the Live Kokua Concert Series as well as the Molokai High School Athletic and Academic Programs. The Kokua Concert Series provides a free concert, hot meal, clothing, toiletries, school supplies, and toys to our less fortunate communities. Our donation to the Molokai High Athletic and Academic programs will go towards travel, uniforms, text books, classroom supplies and scholarships.
The Revive the Live Music Festival is the concert you do not want to miss. Come enjoy the top Island and Hawaiian music headliners from the past 40 years, performing nothing but hits from the minute the gates open to the very last Hana Hou. Don’t miss the biggest music festival of 2016!
