A coalition of organizations are hosting several cleanups across Oʻahu on International Coastal Cleanup Day, Saturday September 17.
1) Kahuku (James Campbell National Wildlife Refuge, Mile Marker 14). 8:30am-11am. Look for the Plastic Free Hawaii & Kokua Hawaii Foundation banners at mile marker 14 (Nudist Camp Rd). Hosted by Plastic Free Hawaii-Kokua Hawaii Foundation & Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii
2) Kahuku (Golf Course Beach). 8:30am-11am. Meet 808 CLEANUPS crew at the Kahuku Golf Course to access the golf course beach for a cleanup.
3) Kewalo's (town). 9:30-noon. Find the Surfrider Foundation – Oahu Chapter at Kewalos for their town cleanup.
4) Kailua Beach Park & Kalama Beach Park. 8:30am-11am. Kailua Beach Adventures & Travel2change are organizing this large scale cleanup featuring music from Paul Izak!
Remember to bring:
1) A reusable water bottle
2) Reef-friendly sunblock and/or hat
