Kihei Elementary School Garden “Work and Learn Day” Saturday, October 10th, 8:30-11:30am

Join the Kihie El Ohana for a fun morning in the garden! We'll be sanding and painting new garden benches and signs, spreading mulch to create garden pathways, organizing the tool and resource shed , building an ipu trellis, working on irrigation, and installing installing weather data collention equipment!. Wow, its gonna be a productive day!
Lot's to do… including breaking down one of the compost piles to harvest fresh new soil! this is always exciting as we get to see how well our young gardeners have been doing creating soil for the garden and checking in on all the compost critters we will encounter! And, as always, we will be starting more vegetable plants in pots and doing regular garden weeding and maintenance!
