North Kohala Public Library and One Island/Same Canoe are co-hosting a series of three film programs on the local food movement in Hawai'i from September through November.
The series begins on Monday, September 28 with “Ingredients Hawai'i” depicting the voices of farmers, school gardeners, restaurants, and chefs who are working to restore Hawai'i's food security.
A light pūpū potluck will be held at 6 PM on the library lānai, and the film will be shown at 6:30 PM. The evening will conclude with a seed exchange and collection of seed for the library's seed bank. Bring any food or ornamental seeds that you are able to share.
Program schedule is subject to change. For a sign language interpreter or to arrange other special accommodation, please call the hosting library as soon as possible: 889-6695.
