Writing Workshop With Ruth Thompson

Hilo poet Ruth Thompson's workshop is for anyone interested in starting to write or writers of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry reinvigorating their writing practice.
It will focus on techniques to relax and energize the body, quiet the mind, and approach writing as an ongoing practice. There will be no critique session.
After the workshop, Ruth will give a reading from her books and will talk a bit about the process of making poems. The public is invited to the reading. *Please bring a notebook and pen, and wear comfortable clothes.
This program is free and is suitable for all ages.
