Filipino Dance and Lecture @ Waipahu Public Library

The House of Dance Company will be presenting and discussing “DUGSO” meaning dance a multi-purpose thanksgiving dance among the Manobo and Montes tribes of Bukidnon, Southern Philippines. It is a celebratory dance performed in gratitude for a bountiful harvest, victory in war, and the birth of a male child. Program is Free and for All AGES! Sponsored by University of Hawaii at Manoa SCEP.
