Join us at the Hilo Public Library for a talk story session with local author Wayne Subica.
Wayne is a local historian and museum curator of the Hawaii Plantation Museum. He will talk story about the history of sugar cane workers and the plantation era which shaped the Big Island. He will share some of the museum's treasures and stories which he has discovered.
Wayne will also be highlighting information out of many of his own published works such as “Hawai'i Plantation Pay System & the Old Days” and “Memories of Hawai'i – Big Island”.
