Teens… take a digital photo, win a prize! Take a photo of yourself borrowing a fiction or non-fiction book on technology, borrowing an eBook, using an HSPLS online database, posing in the Hawaii State Library Young Adult Section with the “THINK” poster or taking a photo with one of the Young Adult Section staff members.

Contest Rules:
The online contest starts at 12:01 a.m. on Sunday, March 1, and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, March 7. Entrants are limited to Oahu residents, ages 12 to 18. Teens under the age of 18 must have consent from a parent or guardian in order to participate. Library staff are excluded from this contest. Your Instagram account must be made “public” at least through March 14. Participant must hashtag the photo with #TTW15HSL and follow @HSPLSHIgov on Instagram. The number of “Likes” will not determine the winner, but judges may take popularity into account. Photos must be family-friendly and obey all laws, including Instagram policies, copyright and privacy. For your privacy, take only partial facial photos of yourself and do not include others. If you take a photo with your library card, please cover the barcode. By entering the contest, you are giving the library permission to use the photo. One winner will receive a 16GB USB shark flash drive and must respond with their email address to receive the prize, which will be announced at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 14 at the Hawaii State Library Teen Tech Week craft program. Winner must pick up prize from the Hawaii State Library Young Adult Section by March 21.
