Join the Division of Forestry and Wildlife, Natural Area Reserves System, the Three Mountain Alliance (TMA), and this yearʻs host the Mauna Kea Forest Restoration Project (MKFRP) for another great Kauluwehi Lei Workshop! This workshop will be located at Ka‘ohe Restoration Area, Mauna Kea and will feature wili and kui traditional lei styles, sustainable picking practices, native lei plant ID, and a guided tour through palila habitat led by the Mauna Kea Forest Restoration Project. Lei will be composed with native plants found in this unique ecosystem. Join us for a fun day of lei making and a opportunity to see Mauna Kea’s favorite feathery resident, the palila.
